Positions the VIRPIL® V4 Adapter and Mongoos base at the same nominal position as the VIRPIL® Desk Mount V4. Includes 20mm pitched holes in the side plates for mounting peripherals.
Unique Design
The Mach1 Mounts design incorporates a simple but sturdy pivot and locking mechanism that allows you to stow and unstow your HOTAS in seconds.
No more clutter and no need to remove and find a place to store your clamp mounts in order to use your desk! Stow your HOTAS away under your desk when not in use for full access to your work surface. Your HOTAS will have the additional benefit of being sheltered from dust and spills.
Adaptable
Mach1 Mounts may be configured for either left or right installation. Centre mounting is also possible.
Solid Construction
Mach1 Mounts are precision machined from aircraft grade aluminium alloy.
The mount is constructed from solid sections of aluminium alloy to produce a solid and sturdy mounting platform for your HOTAS and incorporate low friction bearings for smooth operation.
No need to worry about plastic or 3D printed parts failing in the middle of the night. These mounts are rock solid and will never let go of your precious hardware!
Finish
All parts feature a beautifully smooth precision CNC finish and a black anodised coating.
Parts incorporate weight minimisation pocketing as found in aircraft and spacecraft parts.

ABOUT
Faced with the problem of working from a small home office that was also the centre of after hours flight and space simming, it became apparent there wasn’t enough room to accommodate work and play needs at the same time. Stacking controllers on top of each other, on the floor, behind or even on the monitor just didn’t work. They took up too much room, got in the way and the cables were always a tangled mess. That’s when the idea for a stowable mount started to form.
During the design phase the primary goal of the Mach1 Mount design was to have a mount that would quickly stow, remain out of the way when not in use and provide a strong and sturdy platform for my HOTAS. The mount had to have a minimum number of parts, stow the HOTAS well out of the way, maintain a low profile and be built to last.
The resulting Mach1 Mounts design provides a unique and sturdy mount that utilises quality aluminium alloy (with some pocketing to provide a nice aircraft feel), a beautiful black anodised CNC finish and a simple but effective mechanism to go from work to play in seconds. You can use the entire surface of your desk without having to wrestle for space with your controllers. The Mach1 Mounts solution places your HOTAS in a comfortable playing position and remains low profile enough to stay out of the way when you are done. As a bonus your controllers and cables are stowed away under your desk out of the way of dust, fried chicken and liquids.

How far below my desk will my HOTAS sit?
The Mach1 Mount will position the base of your HOTAS 115mm (4.5in) below your desk.
Will the Mach1 Mount or my HOTAS get in the way of my legs when not in use?
No the Mach1 Mount will not interfere with your legs when in use or when stowed. The position of the Mach1 Mount will nominally match the spacing of your chair arm rests. This will position the Mach1 Mount and your HOTAS outside of your legs. The bottom surface of the mount sits 115mm (4.5″) below your desk when stowed which will provide adequate space between your legs and the mount. Please check measure if you are unsure. Refer to the dimensioned drawing of the mount for more information.
Can I position my HOTAS lower than the standard position?
Yes, your HOTAS can be positioned lower by placing a spacer such as a piece of timber or MDF between your desk and the Mach1 Mount base plate. Secure the Mach1 Mount through the spacer to your desk using suitable length screws .
Alternatively, you could build a 3D printed spacer. See our Downloads section for links to STL files of spacers matching the base plate profile.
Can I use a Mach1 Mount as a centre stick mount?
Yes, you can position your mount anywhere that suits your flying style. Suggested positions are left and right of the pilot but there is nothing stopping you from mounting it centrally. Refer to the dimensioned drawing of the mount for more information.
Do you offer free returns?
We offer a refund on any items returned in original condition within 14 days of the delivery date, excluding any delivery costs.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we ship internationally. Mounts are shipped from Hong Kong CHINA.

I have an X56 – what are my options?
The original -XGVW mount for the X56 is no longer produced.
The X56 stick and throttle may be mounted to the STIK-1 and THTL-1 mounts using a 3D printed adapter. A free .STL adapter file is available in the Downloads section to produce an X56 adapter for the STIK-1 and THTL-1 mounts.
